Wandering Around Las Vegas

Snoopers Welcome!
On a nine hour stop over in Las Vegas I took the opportunity to walk up and down the Strip. Being in Vegas made me loose any interest I had in gambling. There wasn't any games that I hadn't seen in other casinos, and it was too crowded and loud to actually take in the displays. My favorite place was the little replica of New York City, it made me feel tall. Walking around I felt like I was in my favorite game, Fallout New Vegas. I kept my eye for bottle caps and hummed Mack the Knife.

Something unexpected

Hugh Jackman on Aboriginal Communities

I posted this on my other blog The Men's Banner Project. It actually made my day.  To have George Snuffleupagus (intentional) and Hugh Jackman talk about the Aboriginal peoples in both of their countries was pretty amazing to see.

I just returned from the World March of Women conference in the Philippines where delegates from Europe and Australia were not aware there were Aboriginal people in Canada. When things like this happen I always feel like a leprechaun or fairy.  A creature you only read about in stories or history books but never actually see... I wish I had wings.

Musings On an Echo

Musings on an Echo is a short film I made while in school. Made in 2005. I think I've grown as a filmmaker since creating this.

Gratitude Failure

The month of October has passed and I was unable to complete 31 days of gratitude. I need to learn time management and to have less things going on in my life all at the same time.

I realized I don't give myself enough opportunities to be creative.

I helped organize a march for Take Back the Night in my city. I also completed a full Men's Banner last weekend and participated in the Four Directions Walk for Poverty. I'm happy about all those things but sad that I'm always tired or too busy for personal endeavors.

Tonight I realized I missed Sea Otter Awareness week. It happens September 25 to October 1.I'm always aware of otters but I would have done something special in tribute to my spirit animal.

I'm also unprepared for November's National Novel Writing Month and Art everyday month.

I'm unsure on how to do organize myself so that I accomplish what I need to without compromising myself.
