The Empathy Of Cats

Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.

I found this quote on tumblr today and it made me think of  Oreo. Which I know is silly, but I always thought my cat was on my side of any situation. I'd come home, tell her about my day and she'd look at me  as if to say "that's why I don't like going out"
I find it interesting how we can put parts of our own personality on animals, objects and babies. I do this all the time to the twins.
This is the last picture I took of her and my feet before she died.  The last couple of years of her life we let her take walks outside around the apartment.

Typography Assignment Two

Whenever I begin working on a piece of art I feel the urge to clean. So I end up dividing my time between painting, gluing, creating a mess and dusting. I can’t decide if this is an avoidance tactic or part of my creative process.

1st Position Everyone

Valentine's Day after my ballet class. I teach my nephews who are very little. The biggest challenge for me is getting everyone to listen.

I really love taking pictures in the carpet room.

This Bothers Me

Google+ keeps re-posting my posts as comments on my blog. I find this really annoying.

Looking Out

Quick shot while I was waiting for my ride. I was so sick for over a week and am only now starting to feel better. Not sure if it is Monday or Tuesday today...

A Producer Said...

This year I was told that I am more a filmmaker than a producer. He added that it was a compliment. He wished he was less a producer and more a filmmaker. This was someone I greatly admire.

I took it as a compliment and constructive criticism.
