Beach Boys

The other day we went to the town beach. Very small and cute. We didn't bring our swim gear but sat for awhile in the evening. Another family swimming offered to take our picture with the babies. The mom was trying to take the picture and her husband was waving his hands in the air trying to get the twins to smile.

Oberon and I had a nice conversation while Artis pretended he was a jellyfish.  The last two photos of Artis are hilarious he tried to spit but the wind wouldn't let him.

I've been showing the babies how to blow kisses but all the do is spit at me.

8 Months Old

Artis-Yul (right) and Oberon-Wolf (Left) are 8 months old and 2 days. My two favorite people. They both have huge personalities. Obi has a lot of complaints and even though he's the small one he makes sure we know his opinion. Artis has been getting a little jealous recently. He always wants to know what Oberon is up to. He's like who's this guy? What are you doing with him mom? He also likes to take Oberon's soother when they are side by side.

Turtle Kisses

Taken at Urban Shaman Art Gallery, I'm not sure of the date because my camera settings were wrong that day.

Wanted Good Woman

My recently taken feet photos feature the stroller and these sandals. I don't have any spring shoes at the moment I need to get new ones or fix my old ones .  Also I adore my stroller.
I just love taken pictures with dandelions scattered about.
Little Decorated House
I found this sign the other day. "Wanted Good Woman Must be able to cook, clean, sew, dig worms, clean fish. Must have a fishing boat! Please send picture of boat" My first thought was I was not the woman they were looking for. Worms and I like to avoid each other on the sidewalk.  I like the shape of the little tree in the background, I'm going to go back and take a picture when it has leaves.
This house reminds me of a boat or a barge from the Sims 3. I think once they're done building one day it will just float down the river.
I have lots of silly thoughts.

A Producer Said...

This year I was told that I am more a filmmaker than a producer. He added that it was a compliment. He wished he was less a producer and more a filmmaker. This was someone I greatly admire.

I took it as a compliment and constructive criticism.

Fighting With My Words

I think sometimes I'm able to get a lot of writing done or work completed late at night because I'm too tired to let my ADHD and learning disability hold me back. At that point I can't be afraid of bad spelling or grammatical mistakes, I just have to finish the work.

Sometimes I'm afraid of bad spelling like it could happen out of nowhere. Like a shark attack.

I'm swimming and all of a sudden a shark appears.

I'm writing and suddenly I'm not sure if a word looks right. Should I continue? Do I look it up or do I give up that word and replace it with one I know I can spell.

It's a panic.  I've been pulled under, drowning and I have to re-read out loud everything I've written two or three times and check the dictionary or thesaurus.

This is everyday writing my blog.

A Pile Of Happiness

This photo reminds me of all the things I want to get done and everything I have to do. Each stone is either a task or an opportunity.

I need to write my bio for both my blogs as well as the about pages. It seems silly to be creating content everyday and not have those two things done.

I want to begin painting several projects that have been floating in the back of my mind. My ideas like to whisper "make us, it'll be fun". But at the same time I have actual homework I need to complete.

I'd like to have a story I wrote so long ago published. But to do that I need to get over my fears of rejection and send it out into the world. I also fear spelling mistakes and poor choice of words.

I have a keynote speech and presentation to create. Two things I'm equally excited and nervous about.

And of course there are two delightful little boys to cuddle. To clean, feed and rock to sleep.

When I look at this photo it reminds me that I'm surrounded by a happy life.

Titles Are Hard

Titles are hard. That's what is going through my mind while I stare at these photos remembering the day I took them. A good day.

To take the photo of my foot I stood on the edge of the dock leaning over a bit. Yuri held me in place so I didn't fall into the water. He comes in handy for that kind of thing a lot of the time.

I also thought about naming  the post, My Favorite People, because I included Yuri and Rosie. They looked very photogenic that day.

I enjoy naming things but sometimes I'm at a loss for an interesting relevant title.  I'm probably going to start writing titles like help! trapped in a box... That's how I sometimes subject my emails to my mother. She's not always amused.

A Little More Of Orchard House

I take tons of photos wherever I am and I never seem to use most them. I haven't shared them with many people. But I'm not going to stop, I enjoy documenting my adventures.
So here are some lovely photos of Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House. It's such a beautiful place.

Dandelions And Other Things

One time when I was younger in the spring before the city sprayed for mosquitoes. My mother had us go outside to pick dandelions. A couple of bowls full.  After she washed them all, she made dandelion salad and dandelion butter. I think she made more things but I don't remember. The food was pretty but I think the dandelions were a bit bitter.

I Love To Play

I've posted everyday for a month, I'm really pleased with myself. Now I have to make sure I correctly number my posts because I can no longer follow just by date.

Taken 2013 on Mother's Day. That year my siblings and I celebrated with our mom in the park.

I love to play, tag is my favorite game. I love to play every version of tag, freeze, hide and seek tag, as well as "what time is it Mr wolf?". My second favorite thing to do is swing. I like that you can get lost in your head when you swing. Some of my best stories and jokes I've told myself have been on a swing.

In the picture beyond my feet are my older brother Thane and my older sister Seraph playing tick tack toe.

Seraph is one of the reasons I began taking feet photos. She hates my feet. When we were little she wouldn't let me have my feet on the couch if she were sitting on it too. She didn't like it when my feet were bare. I don't know why she finds them so hideous. But she spent a lot of my childhood telling me they were gross.

I think because of that I decided to like them twice as much as she hated them. I'm a brat that way. My sisters keep asking why I take pictures of my feet. It's because I can.

I haven't told them about this project it would just be added to the list of my eccentricities.

A Spot Of Beauty

This is one of my favorite pictures. Taken in 2013 on a walk from my apartment to my mom's.

Today I'm finishing up my first assignment for my typography class. I don't have all the materials I need but I'm doing the best I can. Everything is a work in progress.

In The Middle

Two summers ago my family and I took a short drive to Hecla for a picnic. It was raining by the time we got there but we decided to stay anyway and have a nice time.

I really enjoyed myself but I had a huge headache the whole time.

We used my husband's truck to get everyone out there. My little sister Rosie and I had to sit in the middle.  Her in the front and me in the back.

Springtime in Winnipeg

Had a play date with my little sister Alexina last Sunday. A play date is us wanting to hangout, it doesn't actually have anything to do with entertaining her children. We took a walk near her house, the weather was miserable and we actually came across snow. It feels like spring is never going to actually get here.

Surrounded by Forest

IMG_1408

Yuri’s family lives in Stow MA, a small town outside of Boston. It’s basically a forest with houses squeezed in between the wildlife. A little ways from their house is a park called Delaney where the dog Maya likes to go for walks. So, we tagged along for a couple of her walks.

Above: Maya and me. A couple of days before we arrived Maya treed a fisher cat near the house as well as bothered a skunk until she was sprayed. In her old age she is getting feisty.

Below: Maya relaxing in the muddy pond we were walking around. We thought it was a good idea for her to cool off and have a drink. But, then we remembered we had to get this wet doggy back in my mother-in-law's car.

Not Everything Has a Place

IMG_0072

For the last couple of months I have been trying to organize my apartment. I enjoy looking at organization blogs, scrolling through tumblr, seeing how people have created beautiful spaces to live in. But, I seem unable to make sense of things I own. My iron travels around my apartment. Currently it is part of a lovely window display that consists of a watering can, my dying plants, a metal kitchen item I’m not sure what its use is and several little angels. It may be a mess but it’s my beautiful mess.
