Pedal Powered Swans

I didn't realize until the end of the day that I had a giant smudge on my camera lens. On some pictures it's not noticeable and on others it's kinda nice. On this one the smudge is not so great.

I'm on one of the foot bridges in Boston. A swan boat was passing by but I didn't get much of it in my foot picture.

119 of 365 Feet Project

Yuri and I went kayaking while in Cape Cod. I took a couple of pictures while sitting before I actually got into the water. I was afraid I'd tip and ruin my camera or loose it forever.

Off To See The Whales

Every time I'm near the ocean I like to go and say hi but I usually don't go in. In Cape Cod my father-in-law took me whale watching on our last day of vacation.

I was very pleased with the whales I saw and with myself for not throwing up.

Another Cape Cod photo. I have no idea where those sandals went. I miss them.

Thinking About Cape Cod

I've been thinking about Cape Cod a lot lately and really want to go there this summer. It's only a few hours away. I really love the houses.

I've also been thinking about living in a lighthouse. Something I've wanted to do since I was small. I've been researching how one goes about renting or buying a lighthouse.

There's No Sidewalk Anymore

Walking around Stow can be very confusing. The neighborhood is all circles and no street signs. Also, the sidewalks that do exist have been taken over by roots and grass.

I got so turned around the other day that I had to use a GPS to get back home.

On The Move

On a moving sidewalk at the Boston Airport. My first time flying with the twins. It was a long day but they were fantastic.

My feet were sore when I finally took my shoes off. My favorite pumps have not done well and I'll need to replace them soon. I'll be sad when they are gone.

I Miss The Ocean

I miss the ocean and the sand under my toes. The sun heating my face and watching it dip slowly into the sea. I like the conversations I have with water. Large bodies of water that I can walk along for hours.

I can't wait to introduce my sons to the ocean. I wonder what they'll talk about.

A Little More Of Orchard House

I take tons of photos wherever I am and I never seem to use most them. I haven't shared them with many people. But I'm not going to stop, I enjoy documenting my adventures.
So here are some lovely photos of Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House. It's such a beautiful place.

Surrounded by Forest

IMG_1408

Yuri’s family lives in Stow MA, a small town outside of Boston. It’s basically a forest with houses squeezed in between the wildlife. A little ways from their house is a park called Delaney where the dog Maya likes to go for walks. So, we tagged along for a couple of her walks.

Above: Maya and me. A couple of days before we arrived Maya treed a fisher cat near the house as well as bothered a skunk until she was sprayed. In her old age she is getting feisty.

Below: Maya relaxing in the muddy pond we were walking around. We thought it was a good idea for her to cool off and have a drink. But, then we remembered we had to get this wet doggy back in my mother-in-law's car.
