Pedal Powered Swans

I didn't realize until the end of the day that I had a giant smudge on my camera lens. On some pictures it's not noticeable and on others it's kinda nice. On this one the smudge is not so great.

I'm on one of the foot bridges in Boston. A swan boat was passing by but I didn't get much of it in my foot picture.

There's No Sidewalk Anymore

Walking around Stow can be very confusing. The neighborhood is all circles and no street signs. Also, the sidewalks that do exist have been taken over by roots and grass.

I got so turned around the other day that I had to use a GPS to get back home.

Artis is the green glasses and Oberon is the blue.

On The Move

On a moving sidewalk at the Boston Airport. My first time flying with the twins. It was a long day but they were fantastic.

My feet were sore when I finally took my shoes off. My favorite pumps have not done well and I'll need to replace them soon. I'll be sad when they are gone.

Climbing The Walls

Oberon and I with my dreamcatcher prop from my film Dreamcatcher.

He had been really cranky so I took him into the bedroom to play one on one.

He has the cutest pink feet.

Some New Wheels

We picked up our first stroller a week ago. I love, love, love it! It's my new favorite thing. I took the boys on the bus for the first time on May 1st. I'm so excited to plan more trips.

Friday March 13

I only missed my deadline for this day by two hours. It never occurred to me that today was Friday the 13. Nothing bad happened and I was on time for class.
I lighten the picture a little.  A little grainy but okay. Taken on my camera phone. The little feet belong to Artis-Yul.
We also took some selfies. Artis suggested we do looking off into the distance poses. His picture was more subtle than mine.

Sometimes Things Are Fuzzy

Sometimes things are fuzzy in life and that's okay. This is me on Canada Day 2013, my head hurt that day. My head hurt for most of the summer and fall that year. I had been sick, grumpy and worried about being sick.

I wasn't up to going to see the fireworks and we thought the noise might have made me feel worse.

But I do like a good show. So, Yuri and I stood in front of our apartment in the street to watch.  A couple of our neighbors joined us.

Not many of my pictures were any good. Most were fuzzy but I'm glad I didn't stop trying to capture moments even when I couldn't see them clearly.

I Must Be Sleepy

I was going through my photos and found this one. At first I thought it was a preparatory photo for one of my typography assignments.  But I looked at the date and its boxing day close to 5 am.  So this is just the beginnings of messiness and probably the influence for Beginnings Are Always Messy

Music For The Morning

Sometimes I wonder what people think of me. Stopping to take pictures of my feet everywhere and anywhere. But then I realize I don't care. I like my feet.

Last Christmas a good friend got me tickets to see the Winnipeg Symphony. It was a morning performance/practice. I don't remember what the piece was and I didn't hear the difference when the conductor said he made sight changes. But it was lovely and different. I took my mom and we had a great time.

Day 39

I was left alone in the car. My mom didn't even crack a window.

Beginnings Are Always Messy

Mini update. Taken in the morning after working all night on my first typography assignment. I'm kinda happy with how it turned out but would have experimented a little longer if I had more time.

I made it a self-portrait as well.

My presentation didn't go so well, I was one of the first people and no one had any comments or questions. I think that's how this class is going to go like many other studio classes I take. No one really has anything to say about my work so I never have a real dialogue.

Maybe I'm just too weird. I did everything by hand not in Photoshop or Illustrator.

Here is the final piece. The table, scotch tape and glue are part of the picture. So it's a photograph of a collage on top of a photograph.

Back To School

I began a typography class today. It's been a really long time since I took a studio course. I'm nervous about getting the work done around looking after the babies.

I think I've allowed myself to get really lazy about my art.

This is going to be good for me or everything will fall apart. Either way it should be interesting.

May Day Feet

IMG_3681

Yesterday I attended the May Day rally with my family. The event went well but my poor sister’s feet were so blistered afterward. I thought the bruises were very becoming next to her pink nail polish.

Valentine Tights

IMG_3426

New Friday’s Feet

Slowly getting back into blogging and actually having a set schedule.

I wore these tights on Valentine’s Day, they’ve become my favourite pair.  I had Yuri take the picture because I couldn’t get the angle I wanted and didn’t have the patience to set it up for myself.

Different Feet On A Different Day

IMG_2202

On Thursday I wasn’t well enough to go for a two hour hike to see the seals in Cape Cod. So, while I was wandering around the local galleries in Chatham, Yuri and his family were walking the coast line. Later when I was looking at all the pictures he took of the seals, I found a few pictures of Yuri’s feet. I thought it was so sweet that he would lie down to take some pictures of his feet with seals because I couldn’t be there. And that is exactly what I would have done if I had gone with them. I like how the light catches his blisters.

Below is a picture of a sassy seal.

Folk Fest Feet

Various dirty feet from walking around the Winnipeg Folk Festival. I think these are all from 2011.

Wiggling with Linkon

This afternoon while visiting, I took my nephew Linkon outside to play with a little fairy toy I found but the first time we tried to fly it, the toy broke apart and the pieces got lost in the grass.  So we moved on to baseball. My throwing was off and he could only hit the tree we had lots of fun. Linkon made a point of apologizing to the tree every time he accidentally hit it. I got tired way too easily. While we were sitting down on the steps I decide to take a picture for Friday's Feet and a short video of our feet wiggling. My nephew is lots of fun. We also made a short music video together. It was his idea.
